My Bubba, how i will miss you. you ve been my brother for 62 years and nothing can take that away. I'm so sorry i could not be there with you, but as you know i was having heart surgery myself. I'm a little jealous that you got to be with mama and daddy before me, but i guess my work here is not finised. I can hear God saying "well done, my good and faithful servent, come home" I will miss you and I love you
Your sister always

Aunt Connie,
Gerald & I were sitting around, talking about Uncle Dickie, and we remembered what a prankster he was. It was the time he called my Mom, acting like a salesman, telling her that my Dad was late on his bill. He told her that he had bought a washer and dryer for another woman, & that if my Dad didn't make the payment, he would have to take the washer & dryer back, my Mom was so mad & thanked him for letting her know that my Dad had another woman, she packed up Gerald's & my clothes in a suitcase, & we went walking, because you know that my Mom didn't drive. My mom wanted to go to Grandma's house & tell her what a lousy son she had, and there was Uncle Dickie on the couch laughing. My Dad, of course, didn't think it was funny because he got in trouble, but that's the Uncle Dickie we'll always remember. We all love and will miss him very much, you're in our prayers.
Love, Lil' Grace

Connie and Family: My heart is there with you and my prayers that God will bless you in your sadness. I always felt sure I would be able to be there for you, but with my health and finances, I cannot be there in person, but in love and spirit. Thank goodness for Betsy that she is there for me. Dickie was like my son and I loved him dearly and Connie is my other daughter, as well as Trisha, her sister. I am crying that I am not with you, but I will stay in prayer during the entire service that God will give you strength, hope and a promise that you will someday see Dickie again. I know he is smiling in heaven with my Bootsie together at the feet of Jesus. Please know that I love you all and would be there in person if at all possible, but, God willing, will be there soon to be together and talk of so many memories. Nannie and Gramps are happy to have Dickie home too so keep your faith and God will bless you all.
I love you, Aunt Barbara or GaGa

Gwen and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your dear father. My fondest memories growing up were with you and your wonderful family. Your mom and dad always made me feel like a second daughter and I felt like they were my second parents. If any of you need anything, please don't hesitate to call. I love you all.

My memories of "Uncle Dickie" are of a man who commanded respect, but didn't demand respect. I met him when I first began dating his niece, Tammy Hilderbrand. At first,I thought this is a man who will knock me around if I don't walk the line. As I got to know him, I began to know the real Dickie Johnson. I will miss him so much.
