Ann and Bruce,
You know i loved and revered the Judge. He was all business in the courtroom, handing down firm, but fair, decisions. Out of the courtroom, he was one of the most charming and delightful people you could wish to meet! A true Virginia gentleman, Judge Bob Spencer will be missed greatly by all who've known him!
love to you both,

October 22, 2009

Ann, I haven't seen you since our years at Buckingham High School. However, I've kept up on the activities of you and Bobby through my dear friend, Joan...Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time...I have such fond memories of you and Bobby. I can remember when Bobby set up practice in Buena Vista. I finished high school there and thought it was so special to drop by and visit with him. He was always so nice to me even though I probably was a teen age nuisance to him...Take good care of yourself and continue to enjoy life to its fullest,Ann. I'm sure that's what Bobby would have wanted for you. Do hope our paths cross sometime in the near future. Frances Banks Newman, Newport Beach, CA

Ann and Bruce
You have my deepest sympathy in the loss of Bobby. I will always remember how witty he was and how happy he was, especially on Sunday at church. I will never forget getting a speeding ticket in my '65 Mustang and he told me to have the speedometer calibrated, which I did. It was way off and fortunately for me Bobby was able to reduce the charge to improper equipment. I know he will be greatly missed by his friends and peers and please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Having recently lost my husband, I know Bobby is in a better place.
