SARAH GRABLE Obituary

GRABLE, Sarah J. Burroughs, passed away November 30, 2009 at Our Lady of Hope Health Center in Richmond, Va. She was the wife of the late E. Sherman Grable Jr., professor emeritus of mathematics, at the University of Richmond. She is survived by a daughter, Susan Ryan; and a son, E. Sherman Grable III and his wife, Ruth; also surviving are four grandchildren, Jenny Ryan, Emily Ryan Chandler and Megan and Scott Grable. Mrs. Grable was a native of Washington, Pa. She was a lifelong musician, organist and choir director and was active with her husband in student groups at the university. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine D. Burroughs. There will be no visitation. Burial in Hollywood Cemetery will be private. It is suggested that memorial gifts be made to the E. Sherman Grable Jr. Scholarship Fund, University of Richmond, 28 Westhampton Way, Richmond, Va. 23173. West Chapel-Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., in charge of arrangements.

Be comforted in knowing that God is with you during this difficult time and that there are friends that also share your sorrow with you. I find Psalm 121 to be very comforting during these times.
