I remember Wayne from WEAG Church. He was part of the singles group for a long time and I would see and chat with him in class and at gatherings. He always had a smile and a good sense of humor. I was amazed at the things he did do in his life and was proud of him.

Dear Mrs. Bissett, You were a wonderful mother; I remember your allowing Wayne to do all the important things the other kids did. He was such a loving and kind person and will be missed, especially in Mechanicsville. We enjoyed his friendship, and liked having him visit us; he loved to practice going up and down the stairs at Mama's, and he had the best laugh especially at the crazy Campbell kids' antics! He loved to dance, too. He was a blessing in our lives and we will miss him. May God bless you and your family with comfort.

I am so sad for us that Wayne isn't here to talk with and enjoy his company. Our loss, though, is his gain. He is walking and healed, well and whole now, enjoying his rewards with our Lord. May all who are hurting be strengthened in that knowledge and renew their hope too. Wayne has finished his race well, and now it is up to us to continue until we see each other again. Let this be a reminder to enjoy the people you love, for you never know how quickly they may be on the other side.
On a personal note, I will miss him and all the fun we used to have together. He was funny, a great encourager, and ever ready to enjoy life, a very spontaneous person and smart too. He helped many people over the years including me. Until we meet again my friend....

Wayne and I were friends in high school and reconnected a few years ago. He was always funny and lived like the rest of us. He would sometimes come to our house and listen to my brother's band...and then walk home! We even went to a dance together. I was always inspired by him; he was just a neat guy. Everyone needs a Wayne in their life.

Wayne was one of my good friends in high school and even then I admired his tenacity. He lived and acted just like everyone else and didn't let anything stop him from what he wanted to do. He would come to our house sometimes and listen to my brother and his friends play music...and then walk home! And Wayne was always the jokster. We went to the Teenage Dance Party together when we were 15 and he thoroughly enjoyed that. So did I. I saw him several times over the summer when he was having some difficulties but he was still the same funny Wayne.
Knowing Wayne has enriched my life and I can't say enough how happy I am to have known him. Everyone needs a Wayne in their life.
Prayers and thoughts to the family.
