As my family became a members of St. Anselm's Parish, Nassau, Bahamas, in 1979, Fr. Theo would be moving on to a new assigment shortly thereafter. However, in the years that followed I had the privilege of having him as one of the first people who would teach me how to play the organ. Rest in peace Fr. Theo ! and sincerest condolences to your family. Lesley Hutchinson -Nassau, Bahamas

I first met Fr. Theophile in 1980 when I began teaching at St. Augustine's College, Nassau, Bahamas. I enjoyed his company, his delicious meals, and his humor. Fr. Theophile was my friend and I will miss him! Though I'm saddened to hear of his passing, I take comfort in knowing that he is resting in the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ. With deepest and sincerest sympathy to his family, I remain
Sincerely,

To the Brown Family;
Fr. Theophile was a very special, cherished friend of the Bruce Family from the Van De Vyver days. He deeply touched our lives and we will continue to keep his memory close in our hearts. We will be forever grateful to him for his role officiating our Jubilee celebration of 25 years of marriage.

While I was in my teens this wonderful man, with whom I had the great pleasure of working with to help create the first yearbook at St. Augustine's College, Nassau, encouraged me to understand that preparation followed by good, honest hard work usually resulted in a positive contribution to any worthwhile effort. Thank you Fr. Theophile- your service to the Bahamian people will continue to produce much good for many decades to come. Rest in Peace in the presence of God whom you served so well.

Earth's loss is heaven's gain. Fr. Theophile's Latin classes caused me to realize just how dumb I really was, and thereby provoked me to pursue knowledge. He was a kind and gentle person who I will always remember. May he rest in peace.

Father Theo was a quite a quiet and gentle giant as I remember him. He was a father figure to many because of the nature of his character. I remember him fondly for his gentleness and for being such a gentleman. Thank you for the legacy you left at SAC and the example you gave to so many of us.

Fr. Theophile's charismatic personality allowed him to positively impacted so many lives during his sojourn in the Bahamas and more particularly at St. Augustine's College. Our Class of 1971 was the last to benefit from his Latin instruction. Known to some as 'Fr. Cool', he contributed greatly to the American Institute for Foreign Studies (AIFS) in the Bahamas and this allowed him to sew into the lives of non-students as well. Fond memories will linger in our hearts.
May you rest in peace and rise in glory.

Fr. Theo was a genuine, approachable and likeable monk and human being who took a genuine interest in the progress of his students. He made learning Latin fun at St. Augustine's College (Nassau, Bahamas) in the early '60's. Pax vobiscum and requiescat in pace, Fr. Theo. You will be greatly missed.

To Waldorf, Sandy and all of the family,
Father Theo brought joy and light and enlightenment to many. His knowledge, compassion, wit and kindness will be remembered always.
Certainly, he is engaged in conversation now with God and the angels. May the warmth of his memories be a comfort to you in the days ahead.
