Wllie was a very busy man but always found time to visit with us and answer all of our questions. He was always on top of things and kept us informed. We enjoyed working with him and he will truly be missed for a very long time.

My sympathies and condolences to your entire family, on the loss of Willie. I saw him twice a day, as a courier for VITA, and we always had a laugh over something. I know so many times he was frustrated or overwhelmed, but he never let it get to him. I will truly miss seeing Willie and his sense of humor. I'm so glad I had a chance to know him. My best wishes to you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your tremendous loss. I pray that The Great Comforter, the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ, will be present with you and bring you that supernatural peace that passes understanding.
Jack was a classmate of mine at R-MC and Willie was a couple of years behind us. He was in a group of young football players who helped transform R-MC into a championship football team. I really admired the tough, aggressive defense they played. As I remember Willie was a hard-hitting defensive back.

Dear Karen,
I was so deeply distressed to hear of Willie's death. He was my big brother in the fraternity,we were football teammates, and we were both pracher's kids. When I was serving St. Luke's we always played softball each summer. I have such good memories of Willie and counted him as a good friend. I spoke to Gail Held who is a member of my congregation. She told me how much she appreciated Willie when he worked at Disco Sport. We will really miss him and send our deepest sympathies.
Grace and peace,

Karen and David,
I am very sorry about the passing of a good friend. We all knew Willie over the years, and he was always warm and personable, and a very good friend, as well as an outstanding teammate. He would go out-of-his-way to "help" in any way he could. It won't be the same without him. We will indeed feel the void in our lives. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Dear Family of Willie, I am saddened by your loss. The service yesterday was beautiful and poignant. I worked with Willie for about 4 years when he was at the Dept. of Social Services. He was a really good guy. He and I had many chats about Hilton Head, and especially the Sea Grass Grille. He had a good heart. My thoughts are with you in this very difficult time.

Dear Mrs. Kibler:
After graduating from RMC, I have spent my whole life in intercollegiate athletics as a coach and administrator. Each year, I speak to hundreds of college athletes and I always tell a story about Willie.
Back when Willie was playing at RMC, we had just finished a Friday practice when a youngster walked up to Willie and out of the blue asked Willie why he played football. Willie answered by saying that hundreds or thousands of people with the price of admission can sit in the stands and watch a game but that there are only 22 players on the field. He went on to say that you had to be special to be one of those 22 players and that he wanted to be special.
Willie was right, he was special.

My condolence to the family. Willie and I worked at Richfood during the eighties. Yes, doting father does describe Willie. He loved his girls, he spoke of his daughters many times at work. Please be comforted by the time spent together as a family. May you find comfort in knowing that Willie was a Christian and that you will be together again in heaven.
