GERALDINE KIBLER Obituary
Geraldine Kathryn Kibler, 82 of Lodi, passed away on Monday, November 3rd. She was born April 22, 1943 to parents Emil and Kathryn Perman in Lodi and earned her nursing degree from Delta College in Stockton. Geri worked as a Registered Nurse for 54 years, many of those with Sutter Gould Medical Foundation where she made lifelong friendships with her nursing community. She was also a proud member of the Elks Lodge and made strong relationships there.
Geri loved being with family and friends, going on vacation and going out to eat. There were countless family trips to her favorite places like Disneyland, San Francisco, Carmel, Monterey, Capitola, and Pismo to name a few. She was happiest spending time with her grandchildren, having dinner together and watching movies, sometimes into the wee hours of the night. They would make it a point to go out to breakfast a few times a month at Black Bear Diner, Ruby's, or Michael David Winery. Geri enjoyed having seafood and especially oysters, being on the beach, and was fond of animals; she took great care of her cats. Geri loved good food, good wine, and good friends to share it with. She'll be remembered for her warmth among family, excellent taste, and her emoji studded texts written in ALL CAPS.
Geri is preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Kathryn Perman, and her loving aunt, Lydia Perman, who raised her like her mother, when Kathryn died at a young age. She is survived by her daughters, Mindy Emilia Fonseca (Fred) of Hanford, and Emiley Karen Cunha of Lodi; granddaughters, Alexa Cunha, Julia Cunha, Jessica Cunha, and Amanda Fonseca; her younger sister, Charlotte Perman of Lodi; her best friend, Dolores Cooper, and many more dear cousins, family, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20th from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave., in Lodi. A chapel service will be held on Friday, November 21st at 11:00 a.m. also at Lodi Funeral Home with a celebration of life to follow at the Elk's Lodge, 19071 N Lower Sacramento Rd in Woodbridge. A private committal will take place at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
Donations may be made in Geri's memory to an animal shelter of your choice.
