Betty Casey Obituary

Betty M. (Jalloway) Casey, a retired medical secretary, died in the Chestnut Hill Hospital, Philadelphia, on Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Mrs. Casey, a resident of Plymouth Meeting, PA was the wife of the late John R. Casey, Sr. who died on Match 1, 2006. Born in Philadelphia on June 18, 1934, Betty was a daughter to the late Joseph and Marie (Prokopchuk) Jalloway. She was a member of St. Paul's R.C. Church in East Norriton, PA. Betty was an avid reader and she enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her daughter, Deborah Witcoskie and husband Ralph of Perkiomenville, a son John R. Casey, Jr. and his wife Leslie of Glenside survives her along with her grandchildren; April, Andrew, Jacob and Jillian and a sister Jeraldine Davis of Wilmington, NC. A brother Joseph Jalloway, Jr. also preceded her in death. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Betty's "Life Celebration" on Saturday, March 3 at the Boyd-Horrox Funeral Home of East Norristown, 200 West Germantown Pike, (1-800-GIVNISH) from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with a Prayer Service at 11. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, 325 Matsonford Road, West Conshohocken, PA 19428. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials in her memory can be made to the American Stroke Foundation, 5960 Dearborn St., Suite 100, Mission, KS 66202.
