Joseph Genuardi

Joseph Genuardi passed away on December 23, 2011 at The Meadows at Shannondell. He was 94 years old. Born in Norristown on March 29, 1917 and was the son of the late Gaspare and Domenica (Interrante) Genuardi. Joe was a life time resident of the Norristown area. He was a member of Holy Saviour R.C. Church and a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. He was predeceased by his wife the late Josephine (Parrino) who passed away in 1994. Much of his time, even in his later years, was spent at Genuardi Greenhouse and Flower Shop which is the family business located on Fornance Street. His career included landscaping, estate care, horticulture, and an expertise in bedding and vegetable plants/growing. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid follower of the local pro teams. A man who was always supportive of his family. Mr. Genuardi is survived by 3 sons Joseph D. (Marian), Jerome "Jerry" (Johanna) and James P. (Eileen). Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Along with his wife, he was predeceased by 6 sisters Jenny, Josephine, Sue, Rose, Lena, and Mary. Relatives and Friends invited to his viewing Friday 8:30 - 10:45 A.M. followed by Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M. at Holy Saviour R.C. Church, 407 East Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401. Ent.
