Dearest Carolyn,
Mike and I just learned of Tom's passing and we are so very sorry to hear this. We were neighbors in Audubon for 9 years and both he and Carolyn were the nicest, caring, thoughtful people. They were always there to lend a helping hand and always with a smile. We have cherished memories of both of you.
Our deepest sympathies to you, to Tommy and to your entire family for this tremendous loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you with all our love.

Dear everyone who knows the Cresswell family and to all of his family. I just received an invitation to the 50th high school reunion of the class of 1967 from Norristown High School. I was looking for some friends from that area and Tom's sudden death was on the computer. I remember the accident he had in high school and spending some evenings with him in the hospital. He was a great young man and I am truly sorry for your loss. From the comments I have read it is wonderful to see that he was loved by so many people. I remember his parents, older brother and sister well and hope they are doing fine.
When I left Norristown in 67 I never came back. I went to Vietnam, later served 2 years in the Peace Corps in Malaysia and worked with refugees in Thailand for a year. I taught kindergarten on the Navajo Reservation for 5 years and have worked with Learning Disabled students for the past 30 years.
I know how hard suffering can be when you lose those close to you. A Navajo Medicine Man would always tell me to focus on all of the fond memories of those gone before us. Tom was a wonderful person. "When you were born, you cried, live your life so that when you leave, everyone else cries." This is definitely true in Tom's case.
Take care:

My heartfelt condolences to the Cresswell family. I'd be remiss in not acknowledging the positive impact that "Mr" Cresswell had on so many Jefferson folks; both professionally and personally. A leader by example with a coaches heart.

Thank You Tom

I have so many memories that include Tommy. He was certainly one of a kind and the world will be a little less bright without his rendition of "New York, New York".
