Bernard Patrick McKenna, age 79 of North Wales and formerly Lower Gwynedd, died on Sunday, December 24, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born in Conshohocken on August 18, 1938 son of the late Barney and Sarah (McPeak) McKenna. He was the beloved husband of Jeanette (Jemionek) McKenna for 55 years. Born and raised in Conshohocken, Bernard graduated from Conshohocken High School Class of 1956. He earned his MBA from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. Bernard served his country honorably in the United States Army National Guard. He was employed by BP Oil and affiliates as an executive salesman for 35 years stationed around the Midwest and east coast. Bernard is remembered for his love of faith, family, his Irish heritage, and famous for his quick wit. Besides his wife, Jeanette, he is survived by: 2 sons, Brian P. (Bernadine) of Bethlehem, PA and Michael S. of NJ; a sister, Kathleen Price of Norristown; 3 grandchildren, Kevin, Maeve and Clare and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may pay respects on Saturday morning, December 30th, from 9 to 10:20am at St. Joseph RC Church, 16 S. Spring Garden St., Ambler, PA 19002. A funeral mass will commence in the church at 10:30am. Interment, Our Lady of Czestochowa National Shrine, 654 Ferry Rd., Doylestown, PA 18901. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bernard’s memory may be made to St. Joseph RC Church at the aforementioned address. Professional arrangements are by the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette St., Conshohocken.
