Reverend Willie Floyd Jr., 86, of Vallejo passed away Saturday in Vallejo. He was born in Enoka, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 8, 2010, between 3 to 8 p.m. at Skyview Funeral Chapel, 200 Rollingwood Drive, Vallejo, CA 94591.

Services to be held Saturday, October 9, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church, 128 Encerti Avenue, Vallejo, CA.

Burial to follow at Skyview Memorial Lawn, Vallejo, CA. Arrangements by Skyview Memorial Lawn, Vallejo, CA.

I miss my grandfather deeply there's not no one on earth that can take my grandfather place I truly miss hearing him teach and preach the word of god I miss him and my grandmother deeply words cannot express the way I feel about my grandmother and my granddaddy I miss them deeply may they rest in heavenly peace with the rest of the family that's up there with them

My sincerest condolences to the Floyd family. Rev. Floyd was a pilar in the Vallejo community and a dynamic preacher. One of my fondest memories was being given the chance to participate and play for King Solomon Baptist church. The Rev. Willie Floyd Jr. was a powerful man of God and he will be greatly Missed by His churc Family and everyone who new him. I grew up in vallejo and worked at a local funeral home there for 7 years and used to do services at his church. He always gave me a good word of encouragement words to live by. I will miss him a great deal. My prayers are with the Floyd Family and the King Solomon MBC church. Stay strong.
