Elizabeth A. "Libby" Castillo, 54, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, at her home in Vallejo surrounded by her family following a long battle with lung cancer.
Libby was born to Ralph Miller and Eva Porterfield on Nov. 12, 1957, and was a lifelong resident of Vallejo. She was a registered nurse working with several different companies as the director of nursing and as a nurse consultant. Most recently she was the Director of Nursing at Rosewood Care Center in Pleasant Hill. She was proud of her profession and was an advocate for her patients and their rights. She was an excellent nurse, leader and friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Eva Miller; and her stepson, Ronald Castillo Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Ronald; daughter, Brandi; sisters, Susan Reizenstein, Marlene Holden and Michelle Edwards; and her grandchildren, Veronica Castillo, Robert Jasso Jr., Ann Marie Jasso, Eva Jasso and Alexander Jasso.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo. Inurnment will be private.
Memorial contributions are preferred to the American Cancer Society.

My prayers are with the family to have strength to pull you thru. Libby used to do my hair back in the day - she was an awesome hairdresser as I'm sure she was a nurse. I will always remeber Libby for her kindness and easy smile. God Bless...you are our of pain and in God's garden.
