John A. Cruz, 44, passed away Monday at Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo. Celebration of the Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Basil's Catholic Church, 1230 Nebraska St., Vallejo. Inurnment will be held at a later date at All Souls Catholic Cemetery, Vallejo.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo, (707) 552-6696.

I knew LJ through Vallejo Music Theatre. He was so much fun to work with. In spite of health issues, he always was smiling and laughing. I remember doing a chalk walk with him, and he and the family had created a chalk masterpiece on the sidewalk of downtown Vallejo.
