Carlton Albert Wilburn died on Dec. 18, 2010 in his home. Carlton was born Nov. 30, 1945 in Pine Bluff, Ark. He was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He was also a Vietnam veteran.
Carlton was a member of the Trojan Bowling Club and was active at Florence Douglas Senior Center. He liked the 49ers and talking politics.
Carlton is survived by his wife, Shirley Wilburn; sons, Derek Wilburn of Suisun City, Sean Wilburn of Benicia and Kevinn Wilburn of Vallejo, and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. today, Dec. 28, at Skyview Memorial Lawn, 200 Rollingwood Drive, Vallejo. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Skyview Memorial Lawn with Pastor Samuel Boyd officiating.

Blessings to the Wilburn family. I got to know Mr. Wilburn while riding Vallejo's paratransit. He always had something interesting to say and he was always pleasant. Family, you are in my prayers.
