Charles Steele Obituary
Charles T. "Chuck" Steele, 72, passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, at Alta Bates Medical Center in Berkeley following a long illness.
Chuck was born to Owen and Jessie Steele on Dec. 3, 1941, in Prescott, Arkansas. He has lived in Benicia the past 26 years. He worked in heavy construction for 38 years, retiring in 1999 as a Boilermaker Field Superintendent.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Lynnette "Lynne"; daughters, Ashley Michele Steele and Carrie Anne Steele; son, Thomas A.; father, Owen; brothers, James A., Robert, Tom, John and Mike Steele; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At his request no services will be held and inurnment will be private.
