Dolly was my walking buddy at Benicia State Park. She was a picture of physical fitness and could keep up with anyone no matter their age. Our walks were fun and uplifing, as we chatted most of the entire five miles. Dolly was a profound Christian and spoke of the Lord frequently. I have never met a more positive person. If I got negative about something, she would turn it around to positive, it was quite irritating (hee, hee)! Dolly was an animal lover, and took excellent care of her pets with love in her heart. She adored her children and spoke of Lane & Sandy, their mates, and her grandchildren often. I particularly remember her depth of worry when Sandy was being treated for Lymphoma, and her jublilation when Sandy won the battle. I so regret her passing, and extend my deepest sympathy to her entire family and friends. She will indeed by missed.

Sandi and David, Layne and Debbie -- and your families: Please know that your extended family is greatly sadened to hear of Dolly's death. She and your father were subjects at family gatherings in Nebraska all the time when I was growing up. We would usually take Aunt Zina with us to Nebraska to visit her sisters, including my Grandma, Betty, for the Thanksgiving holidays, and she would always fill us in on the latest with Ed and Dolly, Sandi and Layne. Though we rarely saw any of you, we always felt connected through Zina. And I know both your parents were awfully proud of you. I know you will miss her greatly, but will have great memories and love to sustain you in the coming years. With our sympathy, Cindy Fester, Peggy Fester (Seattle, Washington), and Sharon DeKesthler (Longmont, Colo.)

Dolly was such a sweet and generous mom. There was always 20 or so kids at her house and she seemed to enjoy us all along with Ed. They had fun with us. She loved her animals too. She will surely be missed and her radiant smile.

Dolly was SUCH a lovely woman, always smiling, and not just with her face, her heart and eyes smiled too. Although she is home with her Lord, it is always hard when such a beautiful person leaves. May He give you peace as you carry on without her.
