Mary Ann Gibson, resident of Vallejo, passed away on Sept. 28, 2010, in Vacaville at the age of 75 after a long illness. She was born Nov. 24, 1934 in Wagoner, Okla.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Wesley Gibson of Vallejo; daughters, Liz Carter (Gary) of Vacaville and Donna Jo Segala (Marc) of Texas; son, John Wesley Sexton (Karen) of Soulsbvyille, CA; sister, Barbara Troxel of El Cajon; sister-in-law, Belva Gibson of Vallejo; and four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mary Ann worked as executive secretary at both the Treasure Island Naval Base for 10 years, and at the Vallejo Times Herald for 10 years. She will be greatly missed by her sorority sisters of Beta Sigma Phi, Laureate Iota Sigma Chapter.
Mary Ann will be greatly missed by her many friends. She was loved by all.
The family wants to thank Kaiser Hospice nurses for their kindness and assistance.
A memorial service will be held at noon Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Colonial Chapels in Vallejo. Private inurnment to follow.
