I worked with Mary in the 70's at Bank of America. We were vault tellers together and there wasn't a day that went by that wasn't full of laughter. My fondest memories with her are when we dressed up for Halloween at the bank. Mary was fantastic at creating and sewing costumes. There wasn't a single year she and her team didn't get first place!! My personal favorites were the Coors can, the Tin-man, and let's not forget - the Flying Nun!!!
Mary's smile was contagious and I'll always remember her for that!

My Mother and Mary graduated from High School together. My mother passed away about 12 years ago. She would want me to sign this as She loved her high school days and her friends.
My mother Ellen V. Johnson nee Hayes would love that I sent this note to Mary's family. Mary was at Ellen last birthday party when Ellen was 80 and at her Memorial the following year. Thank you Mary for always being a friend to my Mother through all the years. Judith M. Johnson

Dear Tompkins Family, I will always remember your mom's sweet smile that lit up her whole face. When my mom was dying...Mary came in to her room, touched her face, and brought such comfort and strength to her with her kind and wise words. They are now together in Heaven free from pain and suffering and happy once again. Love Always, Maryanne, Gary, Paul and Michael

Sweet Mary........
So uncomplaining, good sense of humor and loved crab! I enjoyed every moment of my friendship with Mary. Although I really didn't get to know her until late in her life, it was a special gift to know her and share monthly lunches with her. What a treasure. Alas my time with her was too brief and I shall dearly miss her. Mary, I can see your beautiful smiling face which will always be with me and in my heart. I am gratified that you are now with your loved ones and our dear Lord forever and ever.
With love
