DALLAS — Cleda Shelby, 86, formerly of Dallas, passed peacefully on Dec. 4, 2017, with family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Violet Sanner. She was preceded in death by her dear husband Dave, and brother Johnny.
Cleda was a teacher in the Dallas School District until her retirement. She was a member of the Shavertown United Methodist Church and various organizations. Cleda enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, golfing and bowling. Her favorite times were camping trips taken with her family.
Cleda is survived by son David and wife Karen Shelby, Calif.; daughters Ann Shelby, Calif., Mary and husband, Dan Ali, of Beaver Falls, and Laura and husband, Pat Kipar, of Meshoppen; grandchildren John and wife, Lindsey McGeehan, Krista and husband, Travis, of Newberry, Brandon Shelby, and Nick and Lea Ali.
A private service will be planned at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to express its gratitude to Dr. Greenwald and staff. Also to the Gardens of Tunkhannock and staff for their warmth and caring.
