Richard Harper Obituary

Richard Dean "Butch" Harper, 65, of Uhrichsville, O., died of an apparent heart attack on Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Newcomerstown, O.
Born May 15, 1945, in Dennison, O., he was a son of the late Roll A. and Betty R. (Huebner) Harper.
Butch served his country in the Army. He enjoyed travel, and although he spent much time away from the area, he always returned to the home he loved.
His surviving family includes a son, Gregory D. Harper of Dover; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia A. (Harper) Malterer-Green of Dennison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kimberly Sue Harper; a brother, Larry Harper; and a nephew, Michael Malterer.
In keeping with his wishes, Butch will be cremated without a public visitation. He will be interred with his parents in Uhrichsville's Union Cemetery. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to his family in care of the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home to help defray the cost of his final expenses.
