My heart goes out to the Maney family. Nothing anyone can say will ease your pain right now. You will come out of this, scarred and forever second guessing, but you will get better. My son, Jerry, died under the same circumstances a little over two years ago. It is still incredibly difficult to think of our lives without him, but life will go on. You all need to be there for eachother. Stay strong and remember Grace during all the happy times. She deserves that.

P.T... so long since CHS '86... 26 yrs later hopefully I can tell you and yours that the hearts that have been shattered will one day mend, as impossible as that may seem today. That bond between father and daughter is like no other. From one bereaved father missing a daughter to another, she's never too far and you will hold her hand again one day. As a parent, you strive to protect your children as they travel the journey of life; sometimes bumpy and sometimes smooth. You would so eagerly give of yourself to keep them from the sorrows that are in store. But even with this overwhelming sense of giving, that your life isn't as important anymore and your childrens' lives are everything, there is another path. One that sometimes doesn't make sense or match what we have in mind. One that appears to have no reason...in time, it may make more sense to you but for now hold yourself in the arms of your Grace and the love that you have with her. She is not gone, only at peace and wanting for you to be too. Love does not die with the body.

What happen can not be undone but the will on God can be done. Grace touched so many lives with her beautiful smile. She was a ray of beauty. She will live in our hearts forever and ever. God has taken her into his kingdom where she will be waiting until her family comes home to be with the Lord our God. Jesus can see the pain and knows the struggles in our lives. Corinthians 12:8-9 Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

We were deeply grieved to learn of the untimely death of your loving Grace.
Although no words can truly express
the loss you bear, just know that
you are very close in our thoughts
and prayers.
At St. Mary's 11AM mass on Sunday, when Graces name was mentioned during the prayer intentions, our grandson Kane (11) who attends Genet School, whispered to me that he was saying a prayer for Grace and felt sad for her family as he heard of her sudden passing at school. One never knows what a child's heart holds within.
My sister Theresa Elario (61) just passed away after along battle with colon cancer. We are still at a loss and can feel your pain as we grieve with you. May the comfort of God's love and those around you help you through the days ahead.
During this difficult time may help to know out hearts go out to you and may you take comfort in knowing an angel is watching over you.
May God bless you with His peace.
