Waters, David STILLWATER David Waters, 61, of Dorchester Drive, died Tuesday morning, November 6, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospice, Albany, in the loving company of his family. Born in Troy, June 22, 1951, son of the late Fred and Elsie Shampine Waters, Dave was a 1969 graduate of Hoosic Valley Central School. Dave was currently employed by WSWHE Boces in Saratoga Springs for the last five years, as the director of facilities. He loved his job and enjoyed going to work everyday. Previously he was facilities director for the Stillwater Central School District for 10 years, and had also worked for Blanchard Industrial Supply of Troy. A former president and member of the Stillwater Central School Board, Dave attended St. Peter's Church. A 32 year firefighter with the Arvin Hart Fire Department of Stillwater, Dave was a national certified Safety officer for the dept. and was a longtime treasurer of the Stillwater Fire Dist for many years. Dave loved spending quality time with his family and friend Kevin Baker. His biggest joy in life was being Christopher's Pop Pop. He enjoyed trips to Yankee Stadium, watching the NY Giants, vacations at the ocean, playing golf and riding his Harley. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Dawn Waters and mother-in-law, Marie Cavotta O'Keefe. Survivors include his wife of almost 38 years Lynda O'Keefe Waters; son Christopher D. Waters and fiancee Melissa Skidmore of Colonie; his daughter, Jennifer M. Waters of Loudonville; his grandson, Christopher David Waters Jr.; special friend, Kevin Baker and his canine companions, Harley and Greta. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at All Saints on the Hudson North Church, (St. Peter's) Hudson Ave., Stillwater. Burial in St. Paul's Cemetery. Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So.
