Matthew Carlo Obituary

TROY Matthew M. Carlo, 36, of Fifteenth Street, died suddenly Sunday, February 27, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital Emergency Room. Born in Troy, he was raised in Schaghticoke and attended Hoosic Valley Central Schools. He was a Troy resident for the past 12 years. He worked as a glazer through Local #201, the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. He was working for Patriot Glass and Mirror Co. of Rotterdam for the past four years. He previously worked for Robinson Hall Architectural Products of Schenectady for several years. Matt was an avid golfer and bowler, and was a fan of NASCAR, especially #2 Rusty Wallace. Survivors include his wife Mary Jo Bauer Carlo and stepson Zachary Connor, both of Troy; his mother, Virginia Dempsey Carlo of Troy; his father, John H. Carlo Jr. (Susan Hunt) of Schaghticoke; three brothers, Christopher Carlo (Cinda) of Easton, John H. Carlo III (Michele) and Brian Carlo, both of Troy; four sisters, Jennifer Carlo of Cohoes, Kimberly Carlo, Stephanie Carlo, and Jamie Hunt, all of Schaghticoke; his in-laws, Carl Bauer Sr. of Troy and Elizabeth and Frank Markowski of Clifton Park. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be at 8:45 a.m. Thursday from the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Ave., Lansingburgh and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Augustine's Church, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Schaghticoke. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. For directions and guest book, please visit www.mcloughlinmason.com
