It's been 20 years since you've been gone. I never had the chance to see your face in person, and I still somehow miss you. You were such a core piece of our family for 36 years, only to be gone in an instant. Your absence left a deep scar in us that maybe didn't heal quite properly.

Even after all these years, and us never having met, I still think of you and the life you didnt get to live. You have a beautiful family, with more on the way, with more memories to make together. And despite it all I will think of you, and I will miss you.

Thank you, for loving my mom, and being her big brother. She misses you dearly, as though you just passed not long ago. She's going to be a grandmother. Nick has a beautiful wife and dog, and soon a baby. I'll be 20 this year. You missed a lot, but I know wherever you are you are at peace, and I hope you at peace with yourself.

I love you Matthew Carlo. I always will

I would like to say thank you to all who have supported us in our journey to move on! That means alot to my family, and to my children and I.

To my big brother,my mechanic, and my long lost friend...

I can not tell you how many nights I dream of you and wake up wishing you were still here. Nicholas misses you more than anything, he always talks about the times he used to spend with you. He is a big boy "I mean BIG". As for me I manage to get by everyday by telling my daughter all about her uncle Matt! There are times that she will stare off into space and I feel as though it is you she sees! I know it is you she sees!! I miss you so much, and I am trying my best to move on,however it is not easy! You were the glue that held this family together and now we are just sticky! I will always remeber the great times i've spent with you,and dream about the the great times we "WILL" spend together! Until then big brother...

Your Baby Sister!

Virginia, Mary Jo, Zack and All of the Carlo Family:

May God Bless All of You on this day and every day that follows. I admire all of you for your strength and courage to have endured all that you have been through for the past eleven months. Matthew, I am sure, looks down on all of you and is so proud of the things you have said and done in his honor. You have done just what he would have done for each and everyone one of you. He may be gone from us here on earth but I know he watches over all of you because he misses you as much as you miss him and loves each and every one of you just as you love him.

Virginia, you and I have talked and I have told you on several occassions how blessed you are to have such a close family. There is alot of love amongst all of you and it clearly shows.

Again, I must say that I admire all of you for having each other and for being so strong through all that you have been through. Matthew is safe in heaven, as the saying goes "in a better place" and when you guys are celebrating holidays, having your wonderful picnics, or just sitting around talking, he's right there with you in each and every one of your hearts. God Bless All of You and Continue to be Strong.

Matt you are always in our hearts. We miss you more than I can even explain. Thanks for coming to see me in my dreams and letting me know what's going on and helping me fix the problems. Even though I can't see you when I'm awake, you're still there helping to guide me. I promise you this, I will always take care of Chris, he's stuck right now with his emotions, but don't worry Big Brother I can do it. You taught me to always believe in that. I love you.

Love,

To All;

I visit the Guest Book often and I continue to be astonished at the number of entries. I always want to say something but I can never put into words how I feel. The only thing that comes are tears.

I miss Matthew all the time and my heart aches, but I go on because that's what he would have wanted all of us to do. I see and feel the pain that his wife, father, brothers, sisters, family and friends feel and know that I can't take away the hurt. So, I pray that GOD will ease the hurt and pain and bring peace to every heart.

Tuesday, August 2nd was the anniversary of his sister Elizabeth's death and I pray that she is taking good care of Matt.

May GOD bless you all and bring you peace.

A SPECIAL LOVE TO ALL MY CHILDREN.........

Love,

Dearest Matt,

Full of life with a gorgeous smile,

Through your life, you covered many, many miles.

The day you were born, right from the start,

You deeply touched everybody’s heart.

You care and give needs to all

No matter the size, big or small.

Always making others laugh just for fun

As a friend, husband, uncle, brother, and son.

Way too soon, misfortune (for us) came your way

And God called you home on your special day.

You are often thought of and terribly missed,

To have known you I am truly blessed.

Because you are always felt near,

There is a smile with every tear.

Now you are with others who are also missed,

For us here, please give them a hug & a kiss.

Matt, I do Faithfully believe for eternity

You will truly rest in peace.

With Love,

Missy

Jack and Binny,

Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there; I did not die.

From our family to yours, our thoughts and prayers are with you both.

MaryJo, Zach and Family,

Words cannot express the huge hole that has been left in our hearts. We can't believe that we are never going to see that huge smile or hear that great laugh again. We are going to miss our very best friend, especially Jim! They were like brothers. I think Jim considered himself an honorary Carlo. We are honored to have had Matt in our lives and you and Zach too. We will let Mason know what a great guy his Godfather was. Our boys miss their Uncle Matt. They loved him too.

Please know that we are here for you and your family if you need anything, no matter how big or small.

All or love and prayers,

Tina, Jim, Tyler , Nikolas & Mason.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was close to Matt when we both lived on East Street in Schaghticoke. He always had a big smile on his face and was (almost) always very sweet to his younger brothers and sisters. I haven't seen him in a long time, but he always held a special place in my heart. I am praying for you all that you may find peace.

When I think of Matt, I think of Matt-with-the-ready-smile. I found him to be always pleasant and warmly outgoing - a man comfortable in his own skin. A hard worker. I will miss seeimg your face Matt.

Virginia, there is nothing worse than losing a child. We are always prepared at some level to lose our parents but losing a child is not in the natural order of things. I am so sorry.

And Mary Jo - it was such a pleasure to see the gentle deep-seated love you guys had for each other. Let's hope love transcends death and he will be watching over you. Vina

I grew up with Matt in Schaghticoke and whenever we hung out we always had fun. Matt was always the one to make people laugh. Unfortunately, we lost touch. I lost touch with the entire family and recently had the chance to re-connect with Kim, and was actually asking about everyone. It took a little while to find out where everyone was located now and how they were doing. It was nice to re-connect with some childhood friends and I will always think fondly of Matt with a smile in my heart. He will be missed.

I know this is not an easy time for anyone, but look for strength and support in your family and friends. We are all here for you.
