DiBernardo, George Henry Sr. COLONIE George Henry DiBernardo, Sr., 82, passed away on February 15, 2014 after a long illness. George was born in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late Gina Piersanti and Angelo DiBernardo. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Suzanne Reilly DiBernardo, his best friend and the love of his life. George was a loving and devoted father of Linda DiBernardo, Mark and Susan DiBernardo, Gina and Jon Sherman, and George and Karin DiBernardo, Jr.; proud "Papa" to his beloved grandchildren, Becky (Scott) Burnett, Steevi (Joseph) Rutella, Erica and Emily Sherman, Julia, Chelsea and Michael DiBernardo, Annah and Sarah DiBernardo, and Alexis DiBernardo; sister, Dora DiBernardo of New Jersey, sisters-in-law, Marie Harriott of Virginia and Helen Reilly of Colonie, brother-in-law, James V. Reilly of Guilderland and many nieces and nephews. George was also predeceased by his sister, Ada DiBernardo of New Jersey. George was president of Associated Tile and Marble Co., Inc. for 40 plus years and a long-time communicant and member of the Building Council for St. Francis deSales Church in Loudonville. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. and Mrs. Theodore Zeltner, the staff at NYOH, Colonie EMS, the Community Hospice home caregivers, and the Rev. John Provost. Services will be private to the family.
