I worked with Mark over the last six years at AMRI in Rensselaer. He did his job well and truly cared about doing his best. That caring about his workplace and colleagues set him apart. Mark will be remembered fondly. Best wishes during this difficult time.

June, Kenny and Family,
Sorry to hear of Mark's passing. It was a shock to us when we heard. The last time, I believe, we saw you and Mark was when you both dropped off Bill's seat cushion that he left at the Fair. We will greatly miss sitting with you and him at the end of the night at the Fair. God Bless you and the family.

I'm still trying to get my head around the fact that when I come home to visit I won't be running into Mark somewhere in town. Mark was always a part of my life. Growing up in the fire service and eventually serving myself, and at the time Mark was a Captain. I learned a lot of what I know from him and the time he put into training, regardless of it was State Training or training with the Explorer's ... i'm honored to be able to call Mark a mentor and one who will be deeply missed

I will always remember Mark in quite a different way. Though I was a Sophomore during his Senior year in high school, I was a member of a folksinging ensemble comprised otherwise of Seniors. Mark played "stand-up bass" in that group. We had a great time performing for school events and even had some television appearances. When I formed a "rock band" that year, he came to play keyboard; we played for school dances and even won a "battle-of-the-bands" contest. That was a great year for music, and Mark was a big part of it.
(Mark: I still play! Just for you I dragged out the sheet music and sang "Five Hundred Miles" the way we used to. I'll bet if we rounded up the rest of the group we could do it again!Surely you are NOT that far away, but close here in our hearts.)

My deepest sympathy for the Sheline family.
The Tones go off, Night and Day,
We're out the door and on our way.
We drop what we're doing no matter the task,
Some run quickly, some not so fast.
The Hero's we don't see are those still Home,
Our Spouse and our kids that we left alone.
They stand behind us through thick and thin,
Some battles we lose & some we win.
We give thanks to the Fireman for what they do,
But we forget to thank our support group "YOU".
For without you we could not be,
Volunteers for our community.
For each life that's saved and fire put out,
It's thanks to you that we will shout.
GOD BLESS and THANKS one and all,
For every time we get a CALL.
God Bless you brother.
