I just wanted to let you know that you are in our prayers. Your son and I would always leave the house each morinig around the same time when you live on Magnolia Terrace he was always so pleasant and polite I always knew when I saw him I was not late for my bus (Smile). I know that you love him and he love you so may your memories of him always bring you peace.

Evelyn - I'm sorry to hear about your brother's death, I just lost my cousin who is young to and I know how it is to lose someone but This is life and we can't judge God , we can't ask why, this is his time to go, I will pray for you and your family. May he rest in peace and God be with you all.

Your son had to an amazing person just to have served our country. I loved listening to Ernie talk about Edwin and loved to see his face light up when speaking about him. God has another plan right now for him and that is to protect the Somarriba Family.

A la familia Somarriba...en su momento de dolor no hay palabras que puedan calmar el dolor de una madre, un padre, un hermano, una hermana, pero si queda la mayor satisfacion para ustedes, Ernie y Daisy que con muchos esfuerzos y sacrificios lograron por 24 anos, poder guiar a su hijo Edwin a ser un hombre de bien, educacion no le falto, sientanse orgullosos y agradecidos por todo lo que en sus anos de vida el vivio, acuerdense de su bonita y picara sonrisa que siempre nos dio. No hay palabras de consuelo para nuestros corazones pero si nos llenamos de orgullo al saber de todos sus logros que llego a alcanzar...que se mantenga siempre en sus corazones los momentos gratos que el les dio. Que Dios les bendiga a sus dos hijos, Evelyn Y Jonattan...nunca sesen de decir te quiero, hoy estamos aqui pero solo Dios sabe nuestro destino y nadie mas... Ernesto and Daysi Somarriba and family - We are so incredibly sorry for your loss. From one set of parents to another, no words can express how we feel . Edwin’s time on earth may have been short but his impact was obviously far reaching. He will live on forever in the hearts of his family; friends and fellow Marines. Edwin was a good and true American with a strong spirit of family, community and country. The sudden and tragic loss of Edwin is profound to all of us and we weep with you and reflect on his goodness as we share this untimely passing of a wonderful spirit. Our sons were stationed in Okinawa, Japan together and our husbands work together. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you always.
