Stephen Tate Obituary

TATE Memorial services for Stephen Clay Tate, 41, will be held 11AM March 24, 2011 at Advent Lutheran Church, 2156 Loch Rane Blvd., Orange Park, FL with Rev Mark Tonnesen officiating. Stephen was born on May 11, 1969 in Gainesville, FL. He went home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2011 in Orange Park, FL surrounded by his family. He attended college at the University of Florida. He went on to make his career as a Cardiac Monitor Technician and Unit Secretary. He has worked for Orange Park Medical Center for the past 16 years. Stephen is survived by his parents, Carroll and Joan Tate; two brothers, Jon Tate (Angie), and Kevin Tate (Tricia); nieces and nephews, Andrew (Kim), Emily, Zachary, Kathryn, Matthew and Jennifer; special friends, John and Sherry McGuire, and many other loving family members and friends. Stephen touched a lot of lives in 41 years and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. The family requests memorials in Stephen's name be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or The Advent Lutheran Church. Arrangements by JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL.

Steve was a dear friend and fellow "Gator" lover. I worked with him for many years in ICU. To me he will always be "Stevie Baby" and will be greatly missed but always remembered. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.
