John Bowman Obituary

BOWMAN John Benjamin Bowman, Sr., 81, of Jacksonville, Florida went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2011. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and a long time residence of Jacksonville, Florida. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. John will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his son John B. Bowman, Jr.; daughters Nancy Ellison, Susan Stedman, Kathy Pickett and Wendy West; sisters Mary Ruth Bowman Bullard; Teresa Bowman Bolick; grandson Travis Bowman; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2012 all located at Town and Country Funeral Home 7242 Normandy Blvd Jacksonville, Florida 32205. Burial will follow to Riverside Memorial Park. I only met Mr. Bowman once or twice when he came to ZC Sterling where Vera and I worked. He always had a smile on his face and more importantly her face would light up every time she saw him or talked about him. I'm praying for your family because I also lost my parents within a few weeks of each other and I feel your pain. May God bless all of you and help you through this difficult time.
