Paula was amazing and courageous. I never met such a happy and vivacious person. That smile is ingraned in my mind forever. I remember how happy I was to see her mom working at my children's school. She always kept me up to date. Paula was the only girl ever to send me flowers and take me out to dinner to the fanciest restaurant in town. Sounds backwards I know, but it always made me happy to have shared that time with her. I will forever remember that smile and laugh. I will forever remember Paula. We are all blessed to have had her in our lives.

As Andrea stated about the rainbow that cast it's way across Ormond Beach... We all saw it the morning after her passing, we all know who put it there.

It was an honor to have shared a moment in time with her. I am sure everyone who knew her will agree. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Paula,
Unfortunately, we did not know you well or see you often though you were the daughter of our cousin Nellie, the granddaughter of my mother’s brother Paul. Through the years of your battle we were kept informed with other family members of your health. We just want you to know that we wish we would had known you better – you certainly must have been a true warrior in your battle with cancer that took both your mother and ours. I could not help but agree with Andrea Bolles who wrote about the song “If I Die Young”. When I first heard the song my eyes were filled with tears, not knowing it would now be addressed to a member of our family. Your life was cut short and you are now with your mom and your Creator. I hope that your death will bring to light to more of us that death has no age nor does it measure our time on earth. When we say I need to call or see that person, love that person more, or forgive that person we will know that Our Lord tells us it needs to be now – these things don’t wait. Bless you for the example you have given us in this battle you have endured and in the meaning of “life is too short…”. We pray that all your family find peace and understanding in God’s Will and be comforted in His Love.
Lorraine Montoto, Helen (Montoto) and Maria Oxford.

Dear Bucca Family:
Right after hearing of Paula's passing early on 9/8 I was taking my youngest son to school. Our favorite song "If I Die Young" by the Band Perry came on the radio. I fought back the tears and sang along with my 8 year old. When the lyrics about the rainbow were sung my son and I both looked up in the sky and the brightest full rainbow I've ever seen in my life was right in front of us in Ormond Beach. I know that was her rainbow. I'm so blessed to have known her from a child to an adult. She was always such a fun loving, sweet, funny and caring person. I don't ever remember a time when she wasn't laughing. May your family find strength to get through these difficult days. I am at peace knowing that she went straight to heaven to be with her Mom.
Please know that your wonderful family is in my prayers now and always.
With much Love,
Andrea Burkhead Bolles

Dear Chris,

Matt and I were so saddened to learn of Paula's passing. It seems unfair that such a courageous and beautiful young lady is gone. But rest assured she left a footprint on this earth that will not be forgotten. Her grit and perserverance was a lesson for us all.

Love, Matt and Kathy Chalcraft
