Butch Killam,

The "Head Gator" as Dad referred to him will be missed terribly! Our Dad and Butch's Dad, whom was affectionately called "Sleepy" were best friends, as was Margaret and our Mom.

Being with Butch and his family throughout our lives has been nothing short of a blessing and illuminated us throughout. The times at the Gator games were absolute magic. Butch and Patricia resided in JCP, as do I, and when we would run into each other at the store or gas station, he loved to come up behind me a spook me to hear me scream. He would always laugh so hard. A great sense of humor and a good man.

Our deepest sympathies to all and we shall hold you in our prayers.

Love,
Gerry, Debbie and Deane Stokes

George Gator, our brother and friend. We are so fortunate to have known George for all these years. A man could not have asked for a better friend than George. We are so blessed that God let our paths cross in this lifetime. We will truly miss George but we know that earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal and to be absent from the body means to be present with the Lord. Patricia, we are praying that God will give you the comfort that you will need in the coming days, weeks, months and years ahead. George often told us you were his rock. Please take consolation in knowing that. We are praying for the entire Killam family and we will be with you in spirit this morning. Love, Tony and Hollywood from Detroit, Michigan.

May God be with you all at this time of sorrow. We cry when we lose a loved one because we will not have them here with us. George, no more chemo and no more radiation, enjoy running on the streets of gold in Heaven. Please tell my Dad Ed Kampert that I miss him very much and enjoy preparing a mansion for Patricia when she arrives in 30+ years! Right now you are looking at the face of Jesus. We will miss you dearly. I promise to look after Patrica.

Met "Butch" on January 27, 1970 as we were inducted into the Air Force together and served with him in Germany for the next 18 months. As 20 year olds our adventures were many! After the Air Force we reacquainted when we both moved back to Jacksonville. I was best man at his first wedding and I remember his joy when his son Shawn was born. I regret loosing touch with him over the last 20 years. To his family, my wife Susan and I send our sympathies.

George and Patricia have been a big part of my life in Jacksonville since moving here and were instrumental in acclimating me to the city. The humor, wisdom and "joie de vivre" that this man carried with him were a pleasure and yet, things he taught by just simply being himself. I will carry those lessons with me to the end of my days. Thanks, buddy!
