I never had the pleasure of meeting your Dear Paul. I just saw the Memorial in The Jacksonville Business Journal and felt the need to reach out. My hubby passed suddenly/unexpectedly back in 2006; so, I understand what Kristina and the children are going through. My heart aches for you and your children. I recall very clearly how bad it hurts in the beginning. There is a anonymous grief site for young widows/ers that will be of great help: www.ywbb.org. I believe God is taking some really great people Home (we don't know the reason yet). II Corinthian 5:1-8 states "we are given brand new bodies made by the hands of God himself". I also took comfort in "He wipes each tear from their eyes". I believe our hubby's are in Heavean (alive and well). If there's anything I can do for you please contact me. Meanwhile, may the Lord hold you all in the palm of His hands.

How do you say goodbye to your younger brother? You don't, you thank your sister-in-law for all the picture, and for the three boys that have so much of their father in them. You spend time talking about him even when it hurts. My brother is not gone, just in a different place. Though my heart is broken I am conforted by the thoughts and prayers of everyone. I am conforted by the fact he left the world 3 boys who will become men that he would be so proud of. I am comforted by the fact that he truly loved and was loved in return by a wonderful woman who I call sister. Most of all I am comforted by the fact that I have an angel on my shoulder named Paul. I miss and love you Brother.

Paul will be missed. He had the rare ability to be a shy quiet guy who when he smiled made the room shine, when he talked people listened, when he made a joke the room laughed. I am so glad I had the chance to experiecnce so many great moments with Paul. His name will only bring smiles to all that say it as a great memory will come to mind. He will be very much missed.

To the Dvorcek Family,
I was so saddened to hear about Paul! I used to live across the street from you on Overhill. Carl, Paul and I spent many hours playing and running around the neighborhood. Wow, I guess it has been about 26 years since I moved away. I pray for the Lord to ease your sorrow and look after his wife and children.
God Bless you all, you will remain in my thoughts and pryaers.

Paul was like a light in the darkness...a breath of fresh air. He always knew how to make someone smile ALWAYS!.... I remember growing up and it seemed his goal to always crack a joke and our once in awhile online conversations about my seahawks and his jags....he always put a smile on my face..even if it was for the brief times we talked since we live so far away from eachother. Watching him interact with his boys made me feel like there truly is his calling from God. he was an amazing father.. I will miss him and miss the fact that I did not get to know him better, but will cherish the moments I did, and my heart and prayers are with Kristina, the boys and the rest of the family. I love you Paul..now you are Gods gift to heaven.

To Paul's Family,
Thank you for sharing him with us. I didn't know a soul when I moved to Jacksonville in 2003 and Paul was one of the first people I was lucky enough to call a friend. His warm smile and "Oh no he didn't!' sense of humor will be missed by everyone he knew. We can still see him in the eyes and smirks of those three beautiful boys.

My prayers and thoughts are with the Dvorcek family. Paul was a great guy and always fun to be around. I have a lot of fond, funny memories of him. The last time I ran into him he was out with his then 2 boys and his dad. I remember how proud he was of his sons, and how proud his dad was of Paul. All the great stories and tributes say it all about who he was and how much he was liked.

I had the pleasure of working with Paul back in his WOKV days and he was one of my favorite people on the sales staff, if not my favorite - always quick with a joke, always up to talk sports (his Braves versus my Mets, my Steelers versus his Jaguars - quite the rivalries back then), and always someone I enjoyed spending time with at work. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, children, family, and other friends. I'm happy to have had the opportunity to have known him (if only at the level of a friendly co-worker).

I met Paul when I started working at Cox Radio and was very excited to learn later that he was my neighbor just a few streets down the road. His son Trevor is also my sons' best friend and they have been friends & classmates from the time they started school ! He spent a lot of time at the house playing! More suprisingly, he is in the same cub scout den as we are. This is a sad shock for me as well as my family. My heart goes out to his kids, his wife Kristina, his family and friends as he had so many which is no suprise at all because he was just a funny guy ! I will pray and send lots of love and support to his family and friends through this difficult time and always. He will be greatly missed. Kristina, if there is anything we can do, please let us know. I would love to have the kids over and take Trevor to cub scouts anytime you feel the need to have someone help in that way. We love you all, Gia, Joel, Taylor and Julian.

I can't say enough how Paul touched my life. He was an incredible father and friend.
We worked together at WOKV. When he started we bonded immediately. We had a lot in common, we were the same age, went to rival high schools and we both loved talking sports. We worked very close for more than 3 years and in that time I got to know a man that cared so deeply for his wife and his family and his friends. Paul was one of the funniest guys I've met. He was the type of guy that could lift your spirits when you were down with a silly joke or goofy comment.
I will miss you Paul!

Around the time that I started working at Cox, my wife bought me two tickets for a day of deep sea fishing. My wife will not bait a hook and I didn't have any friends to take, so I asked Paul. I told him that I felt a little awkward asking him to go since we had just met. Paul put my mind at ease. He related a similar situation he had been in and assured me that even if I turned out to be a jerk that he would have a good time fishing. I will miss Paul and remember that day forever.
