I just learned of Jim's passing. I am shocked and very saddened. I work for a book vendor and I loved having Jim as one of my customers. We had great discussions and he spoke often of his loving wife and daughters. I will miss my yearly visits with him and hope you know he is looking down and smiling upone you with that wonderful smile.

Patty,
Jim was such a generous man. He boasted often of his fondness for you. You brought him the joy he longed for and could not find in another woman. So sorry it was short lived but the joy you gave to him was insurmountable! Prays to you and your girls.

Chani and India: I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad's adoration of you was a form of unconditional and non-judgmental love that is referred to in holy books, but rarely seen on this earth, in parental form or otherwise.
Patty: it is "cruel." The world has lost one gentleman scholar, who was a kindly genius, and I am not using the latter terms lightly. I know that Jim loved you deeply and you provided him a "heaven" on earth, while he was here and a compassionate "nurse" as he faded away.

He was truly a delightful person who took an interest in others, and I know he will be greatly missed. My sincere sympathy goes out to his friends and family.

One of my fondest memories of Jim was back in 98,99 when I was attending LCCC, I remember him wanting to learn a word a day. He would sometimes mis-use the word in a sentence and we'd all have a good laugh about it. It was an honor to of known such a wonderful individual.

My condolences to the family. May your fond memories bring you peace as well as the comfort that our heavenly father gives.

So shocked and terribly saddened to hear that Jim had passed.I was speaking to him only a couple of months ago and as usual he was "upbeat" inthe conversation.I knew Jim while in the RN program at LCCC. He always encouraged me and helped me considerably with finding what I needed at the school library. I did not run into him very often, but it was always a pleasure to meet and visit with him. I will smile when I remember him in the future for the joy he brought to my life. Patty, I never had the pleasure of meeting you, but you were a blessed person to have Jim as a husband. I will pray for your comfort in these trying days ahead.God bless you, his girls and the rest of the family. Sally Williams
