CAFFEE Jean Ann Caffee went home to the Lord on November 8, 2011 after an exhausting battle with cancer. Jean Ann was born in Marlin, Texas on September 1, 1954. Shortly there after, her parents, along with her two older sisters, moved to and stayed in Killeen, Texas. She spent her childhood in Killeen and attended Killeen High School where she graduated in 1972. While a student at Killeen High School, she was a member of the band as a twirler. She was married twice, having 2 sons from her first marriage. In 1978 she met Stephen Caffee and 2 years later on June 13, 1980 they were married. Stephen, having 2 sons from his first marriage, relocated with Jean Ann to the San Francisco Bay area with their blended family. In 1981 they celebrated the birth of the 5th son. She went to work for Lockheed Missiles and Space in 1981 where she continued to work until her early retirement in 2001. While living in California, she welcomed the birth of her 1st grandson in 2000. After 9/11, she and her husband decided to move to Florida. Relocating to Orange Park, she purchased Dick's Wings and Grill on Wells Road in Orange Park. She was a hands-on owner and was famous for sitting down with the customers, listening to their life stories as well as sharing her own. She continued to actively own and work in the restaurant until her illness forced her to quit. In 2005, she became Nana to her 2nd grandson. In 2007, she became Nana again to her 3rd grandson. Her grandsons were an important part of her life and she devoted herself to the love, care and support of them. She balanced caring for them 40 hours a week while continuing to work fulltime at Dick's Wings. She is preceded to heaven by a niece, parents, parents-in-law and a brother-in-law.
