BRUCE GRUNDY Obituary

GRUNDY Mr. Bruce Eric Grundy, age 57, passed away on May 17, 2012. Bruce was surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Grundy was born in Newport, Rhode Island and is the son of William Byers Grundy and Phyllis Althea Andrews (Dobbins). He was a proud member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He graduated from Rogers High School (Newport, R.I.), class of 1972, and the University of North Florida, class of 1989. He was also a committed civil servant with the Department of Treasury (IRS) for over 22 years. Bruce is survived by his Son - Armando R. Grundy, Jacksonville, Fl, Daughter - Lisette N. Grundy, Harrisburg, Pa; siblings - William B. Grundy, Jr., Louisville, KY; Karen Green (Joe), Jacksonville, FL; Alan M. Grundy (Velma), Jacksonville, FL; Lori Christian (Wayne), Cary, NC; Vincent S. Dobbins (Jessica), Jacksonville, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held 10 AM, Friday, May 25, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 121 E Duval St. Visitation will be held TODAY from 5-7 PM at the Mortuary. To the Grundy Family,
Today, I met a classmate who informed me about the passing of Bruce. I was deeply saddened. I was a classmate of Bruce at Morris Brown College in 1972 and will never forget his smile and his wonderful attitude. My life is the better from knowing him. May you all cherish his memories and know that you had the best.
