Dear Nancy and family: Debby and I just recently learned about John's passing. What a way to go, playing golf, doing one of the things he loved. He was a wonderful man and a big reason I ended up in Ocala so many years ago. We will all miss him and will keep you and your family in our prayers.

We met John as members of his hiking club in Highlands. Both Diane and are deeply saddened by his passing. He was a true gentleman. We would spend a good portion of our hikes talking about books, golf, politics, business, etc. He had many interests and many friends. We will miss him on the trail.

Dear Nancy and Family:
I first met John in the fall of 1963 when John was head cheerleader of the undefeated '53 football team at EHS. He could really yell, but more than that is how he inspired us "rats" into the amazing spirit of the school. Then I did not see him again for 46 years when Jack Jones brought him on a hike with me in Highlands where I since saw him a lot in church and on the trail. John was the kindest man, always smiling and upbeat even when he was totally out of breath going up a hill on a long hike. I will dearly miss John and know that I am with you in prayer and deep sympathy.
With my best love to you all, Robbie Harrison

There is a bridge of memories from earth to heaven above..it keeps our dear ones near to us, it's the bridge that we call love! It takes us back to brighter years, to happier, sunlit days; and to the precious golden moments that will be with us always. And these fond recollections are treasured in the heart to bring us always close to those from whom we've had to part. Death is not a journey into an unknown land; it is a voyage home.We are going, not to a strange country, but to our father's house, and among our kith and kin. Each departed friend is a magnet that attracts us to the next world.Blessing to you all and deep love-
