Charles was one of the first people I met at the University upon my arrival. We spent many hours with friends like Gene and Suzy Todd, John and Mary Lou Koran and others. He was always a gracious person, commenting on positive things in my life. His wife, Anne and Charles met us when we were in California. My wife Cathyrn and I showed them numerous sites around the San Francisco area. Charles will be sorrowfully missed by both of us. Our deepest sympathy goes to Anne but keep in mind, he is in a better place right now waiting for all of us to join him.

Charles' gently shared wisdom touched my life and made me realize that the gift of a great educator is that he never ceases to be a student.

My deepest sympathy to the Henderson family. I had the pleasure of being a part of an interview with Mr. Henderson and Ann during a phone conference call along with a few of his former co-workers for a story in the Zephyrhills News during the 100th celebration of Zephyrhills High School in 2010. Even though he had left ZHS when I started 7th grade, I have heard many classmates tell about his wonderful personality and friendliness. He will be greatly missed...

Dear Auntie Ann. Please know that the entire family shares your loss. Uncle Charles was a kind caring peron that always made me feel good about myself. He always struck me as being an anchor in a storm . He will be missed. I have heard it said that the value of a person should be measured in terms of what they do to improve the world for others. Uncle Charles certainly did his part for his country, his church and for countless students that were impacted by him. We love you. Al and Michele
