As the wife of a Phi Tau, I know you had one of the best. Sounds like he lived an authentic life and left a wonderful legacy. My husband often referred to your husband as the other Phi Tau from New Jersey and he remembers you coming to W&M to visit!

I just found out today (from ACS Surgery News) that Ric died nearly three months ago. I had seen him not long before, but did not realize that he was ill, and he made no mention of any problems. Typical of Ric to minimize himself--he was one of the kindest, most dedicated, honest and humble men that I have ever known. I know that God blessed him, and my prayers go to his family.

So saddened to hear of Rick's passing. Taken before his time. Undoubtedly a huge loss to the Jacksonville & wider area. We came to know Rick, Patti & children through becoming neighbours when they built their beautiful home in Camden County. Unfailingly generous with their help, advice & time. My heart breaks for the Frykberg family. I had the honor of working with Dr. Frykberg in the trauma center at shands. He will greatly missed . He was an amazing surgeon. My his family find comfort and his wife whom is so sweet find the strength she needs. Love and sympathies to the family.

We will always remember Rick as a stellar educator and surgeon as well as a wonderful man. His quirky sense of humor and vast knowlege of trivia balanced and complemented his amazing surgical skills. He will be missed in so many ways. Our love to the whole family.

Saddened to learn of Rick's passing. Rick was one of the rare individuals who was able to achieve both success and happiness. I have fond memories of our time together in Charleston, and during times when a friend was hard to find, Rick was my friend.

I have work with Dr. Frykberg as a operating room nurse he is a great surgeon and a teacher.I have trusted him with my life when he did a thyroidectomy on me.He will be missed tremendously and I am sure his legacy will always live on for years to come.I know he is in heaven for everything that he has done for saving lives.Love You Dr. Frykberg.
