PERCY FOWLER

FOWLER Mr. Percy Eugene Fowler, Sr., age 66, passed away peacefully September 5, 2013 in a local hospital. He was a native of Jacksonville, FL, where he received his early education from public schools of Duval County, graduating from Stanton Vocational Senior High School - Class of 1966. He was a member at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church. Mr. Fowler was employed with St. Luke's Medical Center until he retired after 35 years of dedicated service. Other affiliations include former member of the Masonic Order. Mr. Fowler was predeceased by both parents, Theodore Fowler, Jr. and Mrs. Mable Fowler; brother, Kenneth Fowler and sister, Ms. Denise Fowler Samuels. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bettye Fowler; children, Ms. Sherrill K. Fowler, Percy E. Fowler, Jr. and Michael D. Fowler; grandchildren; sisters, Mses Willadean LeBlanc, Beverly Devine, Mrs. Belinda Grissett (John); brother, Lonnie Samuels Jr. (Cynthia); devoted friend, Gregory Durham; special cousins, Ms. Brenda Randolph, and Mrs. Sonya Turner (Carl); a number of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held NOON, SATURDAY, September 14, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church, Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Sr. and Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Jr., Senior Pastors. Mr. Fowler will rest in the mortuary for visitation Friday from 5 PM until 8 PM (where the family will receive friends at 5 PM) and at the church Saturday from 10 AM until the hour of service. Entombment will be in the Garden Cloister Mausoleum of Evergreen Cemetery.
