Ronald Polischak
Ronald "Ron" Polischak, 65, of Coaldale, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018, in the Lehigh Valley Health Network, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Susan (Gallagher) Polischak. They were married for 36 years.
He worked for the YRC Trucking Company, Milton, as a supervisor.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Walter Polischak and Helen (Getz) Keenly Polischak.
He was a 1971 graduate of Panther Valley High School.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
Ron was an active member of the Coaldale Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 for 47 years, having been a past president, financial secretary and treasurer.
He was a past member of the Panther Valley School Board and former Coaldale Borough Council member, having served for two terms.
Ron enjoyed watching his sons play sports while they were growing up. He loved sports; the Yankees during the summer and Penn State, Notre Dame and the Eagles in the Fall. He was thrilled to see the Eagles win Super Bowl LII over the Patriots earlier this year.
Most importantly, Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife are three sons, John of Exton, Steven, and his wife, Teri, of Coaldale, and Thomas, and his wife, Kate, of Jim Thorpe; a brother, Dennis Keenly, and his wife, Marilyn, of Danielsville; a sister-in-law, Marty Keenly of Summit Hill; three grandchildren, Damien, Mackendra and Ella; two grand puppies, Shamus and Nessa; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene "Skip" Keenly.
Service: Funeral service 7 p.m. Thursday, May 17, Thomas J. Parambo Funeral Home, 54 W. Fell St., Summit Hill, with the Rev. Roy Koehler officiating. Private interment at convenience of family. Call 5-7 p.m. Thursday. Contributions in his name may be made to the Coaldale Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 or the Gift of Life Program, c/o the funeral home, 18250. To Uncle Denny, Susan, Steven, John and my husband Tommy,
My deepest sympathies to all of you. No words can take away your heartache but I hope that you find solace in the memories of the time you shared with Ronnie. Even though Ronnie was taken away from you suddenly don't dwell on the time lost but look fondly back at the years you spent together. The loss of a brother/husband/dad is a tremendous one, sincerest condolences to you all from me, the McGinley family and grandpuppies Shamus and Nessa. We love you.
