Vicki Feathers Obituary
We learned once again how precious life is when our Vicki was suddenly gone from us. She will be sorely missed by her family and her many friends and co-workers. Born in Tamaqua, Vicki was a 1979 graduate of Delcastle High School and worked for Macy's in the Christiana Mall for 34 years.Surviving are her loving father, William "Bumper" Feathers; two brothers, Edward Hance, and his wife, Pat, and Stephen Hance, and his wife, Cheryl; two sisters, Marian, wife of Ed Price, and Mary, wife of Kim Palmer; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also left to cherish her memory are her best friends, Cheryl Beattie, Dawn Cartlidge, Dave Prasad, Charlie Funk and Lisa Bennett.
Service: Memorial service 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, Del. Interment private. Call 1:30-3 p.m. Saturday. Contributions in his name may be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice, 702 B Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, Del. 19805. www.griecocares.com.

I've only been at Macy's for a year now, and knowing Vicki for the past year has truly been a blessing. I will never forget the times when she put a smile on my face. Macy's will never be the same without you. God Bless you Vicki.

I never knew Vicki, but always heard storys about her from our mutual friend Dave Prasad...I'm sure if she was Dave's friend she was a wonderful person..and from the stories I always felt like I knew her. Age 50 is young these days..but when it's your time it is just that. Life is precious and we never know when it's our time. Rest in peace Vicki..and Dave I'm here for you and I'm sorry you lost a good friend..but know that she's watching over you now :)

May you find peace and comfort knowing Vicki is at peace and teaching the angels how to smile big beautiful smiles. Growing up Vicki was always a presence in our lives. She and my mom (Betty Hartis) worked together when Macy's was still Bamberger's. My fondess memory is the Halloween she asked my mom to make her a pumpkin costume complete with a stem,leaves and green leaf shoes - I called them her elf shoes.I can still see her standing in our rec room, grinning. Although I have not seen Vicki in many years I can say without a doubt, that the world is a dimmer with her. You meet few people in life that can light up a room with a smile. I hope you find comfort in each other and your memories. God bless

Vicki, when I first met you at Macy's a year ago, I felt as though I had known you for a lifetime with your great outgoing personality,your big smile, and your great sense of humor. You just had it all, and I will never forget you for that!! As a matter of fact, It was very coincidental that as I was reading your write up today, I just learned more about you that you never shared with me at Macy's, How dare you....You graduated from Delcastle in 1979. Well, I did likewise.... I cannot believe we never got to that page in the same book!! nor did we share our age being the same!!! I guess that is because that is where I am always a gentleman, and do not ask a woman her age. Well Vicki, we surely do miss your smiling face at Macy's, However,I'm sure you are still applying that smile there with all the other Angels you have recently come across in your recent paths. Take Care, You Will be Missed!!
