Benjamin Ledo Obituary
He was a payload operator for Horsehead Industries, formerly the New Jersey Zinc Company, Palmerton, for 40 years.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Benjamin J. Ledo and Daisy G. (Repouille) Ledo-Fortini. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, having attained the rank of BT2. An avid sportsman, hunter and fisherman, he was a member of the Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club, Andreas Sporting Club and East Penn Sporting Club, West Bowmans.He enjoyed playing cards and taking trips to various casinos.
Surviving in addition to his widow are two daughters, Debra J., wife of Terry Derhammer, and Michele A. Hosier, both of Palmerton; two sons, Benjamin J. Jr., and his wife, Nora, of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Scott J. of Palmerton; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Service: Memorial service 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, with the Rev. Martin Nuscher officiating. Interment private. Call 6-7 p.m. Friday. Online condolences can be offered at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com.
