If I could find one word to describe Carol it would be Stoic…or maybe stubborn. She took whatever life had to throw at her and worked with it. Just bullied through and threw it right back. She was so strong….

At any rate, when she was unhappy, you definitely knew it, but when you made her happy or she was proud of you, you surely knew that too! So many times at church when we were trying something new with the songs, or a special service, I found myself seeking her approval; because I knew when she gave it, it was sincere and heartfelt. I didn't even have a conscience realization about that until I visited her at the hospital, and despite lying there, with the wires, trach tube, and everything, she smiled so sweet. It warmed me to my soul. She gave the best hugs!

I pray you find solace in knowing she is with the Heavenly Father and finally receiving her reward, find comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering. Prayers for your family and special hugs to Devin. I wish I could be there with you today in person. know that you are in my heart and I am there in spirit.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom, Jeannie. I just lost my mom in September and it's an awful thing. Think of her often at the Lord's table where there is no more suffering, only joy.
