Kenneth ESCOTT Obituary

ESCOTT Kenneth W. Kenneth W. Escott, age 82, of Toledo, died Monday, August 15, 2011 in Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania. He was born June 12, 1929 to Paul and Hessie (Updyke) Escott in Lansing, MI. Ken was a 1957 graduate of Clinton High School and completed the General Agriculture Short Course at Michigan State University. As a young man, he was very involved with 4-H and FFA. In September 1961, Ken married Audrey Blankerts, a union which lasted until her death in December 2010. He worked for over 40 years at Tecumseh Products, retiring in 1997. When not working on home improvements and other projects around the house, Ken enjoyed traveling, especially on Caribbean cruises. Ken is survived by his son, Wayne J. Escott; nieces, Beth A. Blankerts and Rhonda (John) Boudrie, and nephew, John (Kim) Blankerts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey B. Escott; daughter in-law, Terice C. Escott; both parents; sister, Donna L. Escott; brother, Donald L. Escott and niece, Deborah S. White. Family and friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Urbanski Funeral Home, 5055 Secor Road (419) 475-5055. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 with interment following in Toledo Memorial Park.
