To all of the Haltermans, I send my most sincere condolences. Losing a sibling is very difficult.
Having just lost my only sister in August, I feel your sorrow. Sisters are unique: they can be wise, and fun, and motherly, protective; your best friend or your worst nightmare :) They can be mean and competitive, and sweet and relenting. However, they look out for you, keep your secrets, (most of the time), share their clothes, give you instruction and advice, (freely!), stick up for you with regard to your parents; let you hold their newborns; and, get closer to them as you grow older. Sometimes, they even ask your advice. You always love them.
When they're gone, you can't take back anything mean that you said to them, or apologize for stupid mistakes you made involving them, but you can hold them close to your heart always, forgive them and hope they had forgiven you, because they will still watch over you and protect you, no matter what. Sometimes you'll feel their presence.
Peace to you, Bonnie, and peace to your family.
Ecc 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
We'll be seeing you, Bonnie
