Mary L. "Grandma Hollywood"
Mary L. Mac Donald, age 94, formerly of Toledo, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2015, in Florida.
She was born on December 2, 1920 in Alton, Illinois. Mary graduated from Clay H.S., B.G.S.U. and taught French for more than 30 years at Bedford H.S. She loved exercising, travel, shopping and eating out. She touched so many lives and made many friends wherever she went including: the staff at 21st Century Health Spa, Shelly at the Miracle Salon and the wait staff at the Original Pancake House and Bob Evans on Alexis Rd. Mary was such a loving woman and she'll be very, very missed by too many to mention here!!!
She is survived by her 3 children, Suzanne Mac Donald of Akron, OH, Terry (Donna) Mac Donald of Winter Haven, FL and Beverly Swaidner of Tiffin, OH; 5 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
At Mary's request, there will be no visitation or services. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Good Shepherd Hospice of Auburndale, Florida. Please view and sign our online "guest registry" at

Mary was a wonderful customer and friend .she was such a beautiful lady .When ever we talked ,you couldn't miss her genuine smile ,it just lit up the room. I enjoyed visiting with her and Bev. over the last 16 years .we will miss you !My deepest sympathy to your family. Becky THE ORIGNAL PANCAKE HOUSE .

It has been an honor knowing Mary for so many years. She was way more that just a client she was my friend. I will truly miss our Saturday mornings together and will treasure my memories of her forever. Heartfelt prayers for her family and friends on her loss.
