Richard Myron
Richard Myron Larimer, age 90 of Maumee passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at his residence with friends and family present. He was born in Spangler, PA on August 31, 1926, to Myron S. and Mary Jane Larimer. A 1944 graduate of Ebensburg High School, he was also an Air Force veteran of World War II. After the war he attended Geneva College and graduated in 1950. Richard began his career with the Boy Scouts of America in 1954. In 1974 he transferred to the International Boy Scouts and was stationed in Geneva, Switzerland. In 1977 he returned to the states and became Scout Executive for the Erie Shores Council of the Boy Scouts of America where he retired in 1988. Richard was an Eagle Scout and the recipient of the St. George Award with Palms.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 65 years, Olga; sons, Mark and Thomas (Amy) Larimer; grandchildren, Francis, Amber, Rich, Kimberly and Kyle; and great-grandchildren, Anna and Dave.
There will be no visitation and services will be private. The family suggests any memorials to the Boy Scouts of America, Erie Shores Council, PO Box 8728, Toledo, Ohio 43623 or The Toledo Humane Society, 827 Illinois Ave., Maumee, Ohio 43537. Arrangements by Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee and condolences may be shared with the family at
