Curtis B. Sr.
Curtis B. Lancaster Sr., 64, of Holland, Ohio, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. He was born January 6, 1952 in Sylvania, Ohio to Curtis and Virginia Lancaster. Curtis married Rena J. Siler on December 20, 1970 in Holland.
Curtis proudly served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. He later worked for over 30 years at Jeep as a painter until retiring in 2003. Curtis also worked in landscaping. Curtis enjoyed hunting, fishing and hosting family events. He was a jack of all trades and loved to tinker. Curtis was active with the Spencer Township Fire Department as an EMT and Firefighter and he also served as a township trustee.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife, Rena J. Lancaster; children, Dawn (Steve) Sullivan and Curtis B. Lancaster, Jr.; grandchildren, Stephen (Alexis) Sullivan, Jonathon Fitzsimmons, Mason Sullivan, Emma Sullivan and Curtis B. Lancaster, III; great-grandchildren, Easton and Gunnar Sullivan, and siblings, Gary (Linda) Lancaster Sr., Bill Lancaster, Larry Smith Jr., Mark (Debbie) Smith, Randy (Laura) Smith, Veo Rice and Terri Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Lancaster and Virginia Smith; adoptive parents whom he grew up with, Earl and Aldona Aaker, and brother, Edward Lancaster.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 2, 2016 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879). Funeral services, including Military and Fireman's Last Call will begin at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Heart and Vascular Services. So sorry to hear of Curt's passing. I only found out about it today. He is the one person in my life that unselfishly did what he could to help me recover. I owe him so much but he would say he was the one who profited. He practiced humility and shared unselfishly. He will be missed but never forgotten. My prayers go out to all the family and those affected by his passing.

So sorry for your loss. Curtis was a very good friend to me as a young girl. He was full of fun, pranks and laughter. He had the blondest hair ! I could spot him way down the block on his bike that he put together from about 3 different bikes. One of the good kids, back when he grew up on Holland Sylvania and Dulton. I also hung with his cousin Becky. R. I. P. my old friend and I'll see ya at the house Curt. P.S. thank you for fixing my bike chain.
