I am so sorry for your loss. I went to school with Donnie in business class and he was my spelling competitor, lol. He was so good that he made me want to be better. We would get our list each week, and one week he would win, the next, I would. I appreciated the underlying competitiveness. I remember him as a strong and intelligent person. There is nothing that can truly ease the pain. I only hope that you hearing how thankful I was to have met him. A great person to his core.

Donnie, "D", Wells, was my son, Tom's nearest and dearest friend. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing tonight. I got to meet his brother, Jim, for the first time when I stopped by the family home in the hope of seeing Donnie, whom I've only seen a time or two since my son passed away in 2008. I am so sorry for all who loved Donnie, especially his children, his brother, and his dad, Jim. May you all be comforted, and know that I loved Donnie since he was so beloved by my son.

I want to express my deepest sympathies to Donnie's family. Donnie was my first serious boyfriend in high school :) It seems like eons ago but I have so many fond memories of him and his family. It broke my heart when I heard the news. I pray that the family can be a comfort to each other during this time, especially for his children.

Donnie and I worked together at Sunvision many years ago and were good friends. He was so funny and cool to be around. My friend Amanda Gugle and I were reminiscing about the fun times we all had hanging out. My heart hurts for all his family and friends, I send my sincere condolences. Rest in peace Donnie...from Erica Ethridge-Rodriguez
