Elphy Perlot Obituary

MERIDEN - Elphy C. Perlot, 86, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, following a brief illness. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John (Gene) Perlot.

Born in Meriden, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Emily Charest.

She is survived by four children and their spouses, Dick and Betty Perlot, of Southington, Peggy and Jerry Saindon, of Southington, Mark and Cheryl Perlot, of Cypress, Texas, and Barbara and Mark Borofsky, of Southington; she leaves seven loving grandchildren, Christine Duty, of Flower Mound, Texas, Michael Saindon, of Berlin, Kara Roberts, of Manchester, Kristen Bloschock, of Vienna, Va., Ashley Borofsky, of Southington, Alex Borofsky, of Southington, and Griffin Perlot, of Cypress, Texas.
She also has four great-grandchildren, Joshua and Samantha Duty, of Flower Mound, Texas, and Aiden and Austin Saindon, of Berlin. Elphy is survived by her sister, Jackie Daley, of Southington. She is predeceased by her siblings, Betty Gullo, Peggy Charest, Ellen Gudelski, Raymond Charest, Jr., and William Charest.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Jan. 21, at Saint Laurent Church, 121 Camp St., Meriden, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Old Colony Road, Meriden. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Jan. 20, from 4 to 7 p.m., at John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Elphy's name may be directed to the Alzheimer's Resource Center, 1261 South Main St., Plantsville.

Dear Gene and Family - I am so saddened to hear of Elphy's passing. She was such a beautiful woman inside and out - expressive and full of love for you and your children.
We will miss seeing both of you at dinnertime at ARCC. You both made our time spent there fun and meaningful. Your warmth, humor and devotion to your wife, Gene, will always be remembered. She was blessed to have you for these 67 years as we have been to have known you both. May she rest in peace.
